Need a Last Minute Valentine’s Present?
Just in case anyone is in need of a last minute Valentine’s gift, I just thought I’d share what I gave the girlfriend last year (it was her birthday actually but it would work for Valentine’s). And no it’s not some cheesy sappy thing so you don’t have to immediately stop reading. Anyway it was signing us up for ballroom dance lessons together. It’s worked out really well. She really likes it and now we have something to do together every week. We learn things like waltz, samba and jive. We still aren’t very good but we’re improving and having a good time. As an additional bonus, it could probably be set up last minute if you just google a nearby dance studio and call them up. If you’re in the Halifax area, Edgett Dance has been pretty nice for us.

yep
that’s another Mother Nature’s gift: ALL women love to dance.

I wonder why men don’t usually.

there should be a study on that.

I love the picture dated 2-12-07 of the male hippo dancing with the young woman. Can you share where one can find this print? I would love to have it. As you may have guessed from my email address, I love hippos. I’m 54, and have been in love with them since I was 8 and asked my Grandpa if I could put one in the fish pond. Thanks, Karla

Hippos certainly are cool animals. We were just watching a couple playing around in the local aquarium last weekend. Had to do a little googling to remember where the picture was from but I believe it was here.

Hello!
I am a dance teacher, and ballroom dancer…that’s awesome you found something cool to do together. It is often hard for men to simply just go into a dance studio because of homosexual connotations to dancing from many sterotypes of the bygone era’s.
This is really starting to pass, we get so many new couples coming in to dance, and this wasn’t happening 15 years ago. Change is slow, but it’s happening! More information on dancing at my website: http://www.onestepdanceshop.com
All the best!
