The zypper method has worked perfectly for me, I don’t have the option of upgrading with the dvd since the server is located 500 miles from where I live…

unfortunately this hasn’t been (successfull) implemented yet. I’m waiting for the day this works!

Although, it might be better to upgrade from DVD, because it ensures that no system processes are running, and no users are logged in, nothing is writing to syslog, and networking is off.

Those are a few good things.

For a laptop, though, network upgrade would be nice.
